Comic Con Summer Edition

This was the first Team BattleClaws appearance I was part of since I came back from Chicago. Having worked on the game further during the summer, we were proud again to have it at Comic Con's indie showcase. With new branding and a sofa for people to play the game on, it felt like the game was a step closer to being fully realised (especially with the demo being run on the Nintendo Switch!).
One thing I noticed this time around is that unlike when we first began bringing BattleClaws to conventions, the game practically played itself. Before we had to explain to every person coming along how to play, but since having a more end user-focused design and development process, we were very hands-off during the weekend as people enjoyed the game.
With the event over, we felt very accomplished with how far we'd come. It was a great high note to end the summer before going into our final year for our degrees.
