CHP-73 Pistol + VR Project | Itch Download

A render of the high-poly model in Maya.

The CHP-73 was a fictional pistol design I made, first as a penned-in sketch and then modelled out in Blender before making a high-poly version from scratch in Maya.
I took inspiration from the Mauser C96 with its basic working mechanism, but I was initially inspired by DEATHLOOP's Fourpounder with its curves and early 20th-century appearance. I wanted to create something sleek, but functional, and felt I found a good footing in that with its form factor.

More Maya renders of the high-poly version.

Concept drawing and various iterations of the pistol's geometry in Blender, later used as 3D concept art for the high-poly version.

Before I later used the original Blender model as 3D concept art, I also used it in a VR shooter project. You can view some gameplay of it here:

(The prototype does have sound, but it didn't come through on my recording software)
